“They gave me the end point” The Fallout TV show sounds like it could run for at least five or six seasons, provided it sticks to the original plan

Season two of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout TV Show wrapped up filming just the other day, and from what the actor behind one of its main characters has said, this upcoming trip to New Vegas’ll be far from the end of the series. Instead, Aaron Moten says something like five or six seasons were hinted at in the original pitch.

It’s a strange thing to just say at this point, but hey, it’s not like Fallout hasn’t been dishing out behind-the-curtain peeks of another kind throughout season two’s production. Hello, various set leaks.

In a recent interview at Comic Con Liverpool (via TheGamer), Aaron Moten – the actor behind Brotherhood of Steel bloke Maximus – shared some interesting tidbits about the show’s long-term plan as it was outlined to him back when he joined the cast.

“[They told me] when I signed on to do the series, [that] we would have a starting point, and they gave me the end point,” Moten explained, “That end point hasn’t changed, but it is [a] season five, season six, type of end point, you know? We’ve always known that we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.”

To me, the actor’s use of the phrase “season five, season six, type of end point” makes it sound like the series running to of those exact points wasn’t necessarily totally set in stone back then – which would have been well before we and the show’s creators even knew how the first season would go down reception and viewer number-wise. I’m more taking this to mean that there was always a loose long-term plan for the story were the show to go that kind of distance, as you’d hope.

So far, only there first two seasons have been officially greenlit by Prime Video, but now it’s established as a hit thanks to that stellar debut last year, it’s easy to see the show getting re-upped for as long as its showrunners, cast, and other involved parties want to keep making it. Well, pending any massive and sudden changes to the situation or the levels of interest in the show.

How long would you like to see the Fallout series run for, and what do you think the big end point Moten alluded to will be? Let us know below and stay tuned to learn about season two’s release date as soon as it drops!
