Wish Oblivion Remastered’s Dark Brotherhood missions never ended? Well, this mod adds huge new radiant contract system with, er, Morrowindy gacha mechanics

If you can’t get enough what I’d argue is Oblivion’s best faction questline, Oblivion Remastered have got you covered. One of them’s developed a whole radiant contract system for the Dark Brotherhood, adding 100 new targets you can slaughter over and over again if you really want to live Black Hand lifestyle to the fullest.

If nothing else, it’s a chance to be the hunter rather than hunted hero you’ll end up as if you grab some other mods those messing with the remaster have already created.

This mod that definitely gets the Sithis seal of approval is ColdTyrant’s ‘Dark Brotherhood – Infinitum’. Having previously added extra quests that let Oblivion Remastered players go a bit more bed by properly joining the Mythic Dawn or embracing necromancy, they’ve decided to stick to the evil theme.

As such, their latest work adds in 100 new and infinitely repeatable Dark Brotherhood contracts as part of a radiant quest system for the faction that you can use to have some extra fun and make some bank at any point during or after the faction’s base questline, which has been left untouched.

These contracts will have you killing random new NPCs with names like ‘Diligent Father’ that the mod adds to the world, so you don’t have to worry about slowly massacring the entire population of Cyrodiil. You get them by visiting the Cheydinhal Sanctuary, where ColdTyrant’s drafted in iconic weird Morrowind merchant Creeper the scamp to dish out killing missions and provide rewards.

Now, here’s where things get a bit eyebrow-raising. In addition to 500 gold per successful contract, you’ll get two “Dark Tokens, used for Creeper’s Reward gacha Roulette”. Yes, this Oblivion Dark Brotherhood mod dishes out extra rewards via a gacha wheel you submit your tokes to spin for a chance to win a random weapon, bit of armour, quiver of arrows, piece of jewelry, hamper of ten potions, or box of ten scrolls.

Finally, someone’s found a way to make a game appeal to both me and my courageous guides writing coworkers who’ve had to deal with more gacha than I could ever stomach. If you fancy trying your luck or just killing a bunch of stuff, you’ll need to grab the mod’s requirements – Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS and UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector.

Happy Oblivigachaing, and also make sure to check out the rest of our ongoing Oblivion Remastered mod coverage, which includes an interview with the modder who managed to make the first ever tweak to its world just one day after release.
